Every year the Zwierciadło publishing company  awards the outstanding personalities from the world of science, culture, art and public life. Among the winners in previous years, were:  Wisława Szymborska, Andrzej Wajda, prof. Norman Davies, Jerzy Buzek, Joanna Kos-Krauze i Krzysztof Krauze, Anne Applebaum, Danuta Hübner, Agnieszka Holland, Janusz Głowacki, prof. Cezary Szczylik, Maja Komorowska, Leszek Możdżer, Janusz Gajos and Maciej Stuhr.
 

During the event there is also another award given to young personality, who already exists in social awareness thanks to the interesting projects and ideas. The prize is voted by the readers of the magazine. In the previous year the readers nominated Łukasz Żal, cameraman, who has recently been  nominated for Oscar awards ( "Ida" movie and "Joanna" short documentary ).
 

Thie annual Gala event  attracts representatives of the world of art, science, culture and business, such as Małgorzata Foremniak, Magdalena Kumorek, Anna Maria Jopek, Aga Zaryan, Marek Koterski,  Grażyna i Dominika Kulczyk, Dorota Soszyńska, Gosia Baczyńska, Rafał Olbiński, Grażyna Wolszczak, Alicja Węgorzewska i Magdalena Zawadzka.
