New standards for business and social organizations set by Konkordia programme


Three postulates being the conclusions of the business and NGO conference Were presented to the chef of European Council Donald Tusk by Konkordia programme organizers . The postulates included the troduction of: Social Action Evaluation Standard,  Business and Social Engagement Standard and the  Support Projects Private-Social Standard.
 
On October 1st and 2nd 2014 the  fifth, anniversary Konkordia conference took place. It was  was attended by key representatives of Polish business and NGOs. The initiator and organizer of the event is Duende Foundation. Its aim is to increase the efficiency and quality of the functioning of non-governmental organizations, by creating a network of relationships with business, other organizations of the world and scientific institutions. Its mission is to change the world for the better through the increased efficiency and professionalisation in the third sector.
Also by  building NGOs-business synergies , NGOs-scientific community and NGOs-knowledge transfer.
"The theme of this years Konkordia conference was to measure the effectiveness. Our goal was to increase awareness among the representatives of organizations representatives that if they do not face the effectiveness of its activities other will do it for them. Regardless of the size of the entity result of the project should be palpable and should have an impact on reality." - says Jorge Gimeno, president of the Duende Foundation.
 
During the Conference Polish and world famous experts led panels and working sessions. There were presented also the results of the phenomenon of measuring the effectiveness of social action in Poland. Among the special guests who attended the Conferences were: Henryka Bochniarz - president of the Polish Confederation Lewiatan, William D. Eggers - Bill Clinton’s adviser for business-NGO-local government and Teresa Kamińska – CEO of Pomeranian Special Economic Zone.
 
A special pointof the Conference was a presentation of the Effective Partnership Guidelines for Business and NGO, that had been signed on September11th , as a new Polish standard. Also a presentation of the book "The Philosophy of effect" by Jorge Gimeno was a great success.
